CR-AVE Flight Tracks

Description

The pdf files below are composed of 6 meteorologiocal plots in each file with the aircraft flight track superimposed

• 1: A plot showing lat/lon, altitude vs. time, and potential temperature vs. time of the flight from either the MMS, PT, or NAV data.
• 2-4: modified potential vorticity plots for 3 selected theta surfaces (see selected surfaces on Plot 1),
• 5: MPV, theta, wind speed, and tropopause altitude vs. time
• 6: RH, T, wind speed, and tropopause altitude vs. time

The data are generated from the NASA/GSFC's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO). Documentation of this data assimilation system (GEOS-4) can be found at: http://gmao.gsfc.nasa.gov/systems/geos4/
