In the sub-directory labelled: jgr_paper2 is a paper on nitrogen partitioning in the middle stratosphere as observed by UARS instruments. Comparisons with 2d model and ATMOS results show good agreement. The paper has been submitted to JGR in July 1996. Favorable reviews have been received and the paper has been resubmitted addressing the reviewers' comments. The revised version of the paper is contained in the file nitrogen_part_r.ps jgr_paper3 is a paper on the loss of ozone observed at midlatitudes in the mid-stratosphere during sub-tropical wave breaking events and the subsequent entrainment of that tropical air in anti-cylcones. The paper was originally submitted to JGR in August 1995. After extensive revisions, the paper has been resubmitted in November 1996. We are still awaiting the latest reviews. The latest version of the paper is contained in this directory. In the sub-directory labelled: thesis is a copy of my PhD thesis at Rice University on trajectory mapping, trajectory mapping errors, and trajectory mapping applications. The thesis was successfully defended in August 1994 and accepted in September 1994. The copyright is not held by the author. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
