ATom Meteorological Forecast Plots
The Atmospheric Tomography (ATom) experiment uses the NASA DC-8
aircraft to measure the vertical profiles of many chemical constituents
of the atmosphere. ATom is scheduled to have four deployments of ten flights each.
The four deployments will cover seasons, and the ten flights will cover the
Pacific and Atlantic regions.
These pages provide maps of forecast meteorological fields to assist
in flight planning and data interpretation.

- Flight 01 - KPMD-KPMD (equator flight)
- Flight 02 - KPMD to PANC (Palmdale, CA, to Anchorage, AK)
- Flight 03 - PANC to PHKO (Anchorage, AK, to Kona, HI)
- Flight 04 - PHKO to NFFN (Kona, HI, to Nadi, Fiji)
- Flight 05 - NFFN to NZCH (Nadi, Fiji, to Christchurch, New Zealand)
- Flight 06 - NZCH to SCCI (ChristChurch, New Zealand, to Punta Arenas, Chile)
- Flight 07 - SCCI to SCCI (Punta Arenas, Chile, to Punta Arenas)
- Flight 08 - SCCI to SBRF (Punta Arenas, Chile, to Recife, Brazil)
- Flight 09 - SBRF to LPLA (Recife, Brazil, to Lajes base, Azores)
- Flight 10 - LPLA to BGTL (Lajes base, Azores, to Thule, Greenland)
- Flight 11 - BGTL to PANC (Thule, Greenland, to Anchorage, AK)
- Flight 12 - PANC to KPMD (Anchorage, AK, to Palmdale, CA)
