ATom Meteorological Forecast Plots

The Atmospheric Tomography (ATom) experiment uses the NASA DC-8 aircraft to measure the vertical profiles of many chemical constituents of the atmosphere. ATom is scheduled to have four deployments of ten flights each. The four deployments will cover seasons, and the ten flights will cover the Pacific and Atlantic regions.

These pages provide maps of forecast meteorological fields to assist in flight planning and data interpretation.

An Important Note

The forecast plots on these pages are intended for use in supporting the ATom field experiment. They should be considered experimental in nature and used for scientific research purposes only. Any other use would be unwise, strongly contra-indicated, and done entirely at the users' own risk.
